ReplyDeletethis is going to sound ver weird, but i LOVE the sex scenes. i think that rather that reflecting badly on me, it should reflect badly on you. because i love them because they look so good and are very well done. its obvious YOU spent a lot of time on them. way more time on them than on any other panels. i love the sex sequences, and the panel of the cafe at the end of the sex sequences, and all of your pictures of coffee.
god its your lines. i don't know how you... aaagh. whatever rachael. i don't know why i am complimenting you so much. i leave tremendously long comments for you and you don't like my art enough to comment on it. i know. i know. i was never as good as you or dakota. i was never that good at art anyways, but at least i try to do something i enjoy even though i am not good at it.
another weird comment, i love the picture of his huge ass. not his ass that i love i love the lines. the shadows everything is dramatic. dramatic, like this comment.
p.s. is it watercolor or copic marker?
ReplyDelete1. not easy at all. you have no idea how many pages upon pages of drawings i have thrown out to get to this point. sometimes it takes me hours to do one panel.
ReplyDelete2. i did not spend more time on sex scenes than the other ones. in fact i think the scene in the cafe is so far taking longer because i have to draw all the folds in the clothes and stuff in every panel. the panel of the cafe took fucking forever to do, not that you can really tell by looking at it.
3. i admit i have been slacking off lately, but i really try to comment on everyone's stuff. i do. i commented on your last entry!
4. neither. it's these little crappy illustration pens that cost me $2.50 each and don't last more than a month under my care. but they don't bleed, they blend well, and they are cheaper than copic markers and much less of a hassle than watercolor.
5. seriously, it's really annoying when you guys post comments as me.
also: oh god i love his hand that is holding the coffee. it is all veiny and i can see the tendons. oh god.

ReplyDeleteAlso, these pages make me so tired. I want to take a nap, because they must have taked forever! But it shows. They are so freaking goddamned beautiful. And I think you have a great balance of background/character. Just enough background to not be lame, but not too much to make it drown out the people.
Also, I want to have sex with the folds in the clothes you drew.

Seeing this makes me want to draw. That might not sound like much, but that is a big compliment.
